There are two huge pools that have plenty of loungers for sunbathing, along with a bar and the Tides Beach Bar. A second pool area is a little smaller and more kid-friendly, with water slides and a splash pad.
There’s also a great spa on-site. The only thing missing is a full-size casino, although the resort does offer a large selection of slot machines and table games in its onsite arcade. While there are plenty of options for exploring nearby Puerto Morelos, the hotel doesn’t have much within walking distance; most guests go off-site as part of package excursions to places like Xel Ha or for non-motorized water sports at the resort’s beach and pools. Royalton’s tour desk will push these excursions on you, and staff in the lobby, by the beach and at the pools are not shy about asking if you want to book something.
